“Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as you ever can.”
Church Health was founded in 1987 by Dr. G. Scott Morris with this kind of “can do” attitude. For more than 26 years our Medical, Wellness and Outreach ministries have impacted the lives of men, women and their families in Memphis and Shelby County.
John Wesley also said, “If your heart is like mine, then give me your hand.” Over 10,000 generous human beings have given us a hand. Thanks to financial support from all sectors of the faith community, and the volunteer help of doctors, nurses, dentists and others, Church Health has grown to become the largest faith-based healthcare organization of its type in the country.
One reason why Church Health is unique is the deep devotion of our donors to our mission of providing healthcare for the working uninsured and promoting healthy bodies and spirits for all. Another is our donors’ trust that we are responsible stewards of their gifts. Indeed, we typically earn Charity Navigator’s highest rating.
Just as the care we provide today is preventive and future-focused, likewise those who support Church Health do so with an eye – and a heart – to the future. Since the Affordable Care Act will not replace Church Health, we must provide today for its work to endure. In the following pages you will be introduced to many ways to give to that end, in addition to your current manner of support.
The special ways of giving described here will not only help Church Health in the future, but can also provide benefits for you and your family. Please read on for more information.
